I was on the phone with them, and because I stupidly have **** Sprint, lost signal out of nowhere and got disconnected. The representative I was speaking to, Amanda, immediately called me back on this number and we got our business done. This is not a scam number, this is the ACTUAL HEALTHCARE MARKETPLACE. And for the record, my husband is now on a full coverage, $1000 deductible gold level health plan for ZERO premium. 40. Got a call today but missed it. I generally don’t call back if I don’t recognize the number

  41. I got a message from this number on my answering machine. It was, or claimed to be, healthcare.gov, but it was using telemarketer scare tactics to make me think I’ll lose my insurance if I don’t log in to healthcare.gov or call them back in 5 days. Logging in to healthcare.gov showed that I’m in no such danger; my insurance will roll over (though the premium will go up) if I don’t do anything. I have no idea whether the phone number reaches a government office or a free-lance scammer.

  42. This number texted me even though I singed up for coverage yesterday. Then sat on hold for 20 mins with healthcare.gov – I’m sure this is some automatic or wrong thing…. the links look like they go to the healthcare.gov site and when I texted them back they wrote back the correct gvt number – I think they just text everyone as a reminder, whether they’re already signed up or not- that is annoying. but i’m glad to have health insurance.

  43. First time they called weeks ago and didn’t leave a message. This time it was to remind me that Jan 31 is the deadline to apply for health coverage in 2016 (as was left on a voicemail).

  44. ” I have no idea whether the phone number reaches a government office or a free-lance scammer.”

It doesn’t matter, this days its the same thing.

  45. This is called harassment by the government to get the numbers of users up. I will not call back and this type of call should not be allowed

  46. I get these about once a month even though thankfully I don’t have to sign up on my own now. It’s already done through my company. I doubt this program will ever be organized. Too bad it even exists! I thought they would leave me alone after a year’s time…

  47. I’ve just gotten call on cell, and there was no voicemail. No ID other than this #, but who knows whether this is actually where call comes from. Apparently # for ‘Obamacare.”

Aware that call numbers can be ‘spoofed’ (faked), so I generally don’t give info out to someone calling me – you don’t really know who is calling even – or especially if – they are using an ID # that might be official.

If it is legit, you’d think they could leave a message … so in this particular case I’m skeptical. If it was just a reminder they would have left a reminder call. If its for info I just say I’ll have to call them back. That way I can confirm the real # and dial it direct.

I work thru an approved agent, and that is who I will work with, not someone calling me.

  48. Unsolicited/unwarranted telemarketer ¿health-care? call.

  49. Very leary about these phone calls – i thought government offices were closed on saturdays and also after 5 pm – i don’t give out or verify any information when someone calls me – i dont konw they are really who they say they are – it is rude and annoying to interept my weekend with bs phone calls

    dissapointed in texas

High Risk Due to Past Scamming History

8003182596 has been classified as high risk due to the previous ‘scamming’ attempts which have come from this number. Recipients will usually hear messages from companies such as ‘healthcare.gov’ who asks them to go to Healthcare’s website to update their healthcare information before the price rises. After looking at the recordings online, it is clear to me that this is an apparent attempt to steal recipients information by funneling them to a fake website after obtaining their number from an illegitimate source.

If you are a member of healthcare.gov already then I would suggest contacting them directly to check the validity of the call you have received, and if they said it was not them, then you should block the number right away to prevent the exchange of calls.

In a nutshell

In conclusion, calls from this number should not be answered, and no information should be given to them until its validity is 100% confirmed.
